This beautifully, tactile bowl is created in a Crank Clay, through a combination of press moulding and coiling. The Crank clay givens a slightly sandy, textured feel to the piece exposing the nature of the clay.
Once the bowl form had been created lines were carved into the clay and inlayed with smooth white, stoneware clay. Offering a lovely contrast in texture and tone.
The lines reflect the paths we take, the changes and unexpected moments that can happen along the way.
Measurements - 22cm wide by 13cm high
